Good climber, bad listener

When I'm good, I get to go to the park on the way home from school. We went to a new park today and there was a HUGE climbing thing. I climbed, climbed, climbed really, really, really high. There was an older girl there that was able to get all the way to the top. I can't wait to do that. Too bad we'll never go back. I didn't want to leave so I fought mommy all the way to the car. She said we'll never go to the park again. I hope she forgets she said that. :(

Marathon Monday

Mommy and me watched a big race today. There were so many runners. Mommy and me cheered, "Almost there," "Good job," "Keep it up." One runner gave me a high five. Some runners were tired and walking. It was so fun. There was also music people that we listened to. Oh, and I got a balloon penguin, but he flew away. I yelled, "Bye Penguin." I hope he made it to his home OK.

Go runners go!
I loved the band that was playing music.

Cheering on runners is tough work!

Can we run the race next year, mommy?

Turkey trotters

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! To celebrate, we raced with turkeys this morning. I like to race. Daddy runs pretty fast and it is fun to watch all the people. I spend most of the race asking, Where's Mommy?" She is fast and always finishes first. I like seeing her cheer us on at the finish line. But the best, best part of the race is always the end when we get snacks. Today I got "cake" and a banana. I was so excited I pooped my pants.

Across the finish line we go!
After you run you get snacks. That's the best part.

Pint-size workout

I like to get in a workout every night on our standing bike thing. I pretend that daddy is chasing me and I make my little legs go super fast. He he he.

5K Push Race

Daddy and me ran our first 5K together today. Well, daddy ran, I just got pushed. There were so many people running it was crazy. We went so fast I could feel the wind in my curls.

Sitting through the whole race was
tough. Time to carb reload.

Me and daddy crossing the finish line. Go Hutters go!

Floatee lover

I love my floatees. I wear them running around the house. I wear them going up and down the stairs. I even wear them when we go to Trader Joe's. You just never know when a pool will pop up or when there may be a really big puddle to dive in. Sure, I get a few weird looks, but best to be prepared.

What do you mean it's weird to wear floatees
to go food shopping?

Bursted bubble

We went on a Bubble Run today. The bubbles were SO big they covered me all up. I got bubbles in my shorts and shoes and hair and eyes. It was NOT fun at all. The bad bubbles even got me dirty, not clean. Lexi no like!

Pre-race; Bubble run headband, monster and race face on.

Get these bubbles off me!

Butt buster

These exercise videos mommy has me doing are tough. Today we did a butt and core buster. Do I even have a core? I'm much more of a yoga person. Either way there is nothing like a good band stretch after working out. Oh, and goldfish too. They are the best post-workout snack.

You want me to put my foot where?

Tennis (watching) prodigy

Did you know daddy is a tennis star? I got to watch him play in a tournament (that means a big game with lots of smaller games within it) this weekend. I always love to cheer, especially for daddy, but I kept getting shh-ed. I guess you aren't supposed to cheer while the ball goes back and forth, only when it is on the ground. Mommy let me try her tennis racket and gave me a ball to play with too. I kept trying to have the ball go off the racket, but it didn't work. That's OK. Eating the ball was just as fun.

This tastes....fuzzy.
Concentrating on the game.

Softball coaster

Mommy and daddy had their first softball game today. It was an emotional roller coaster. I laughed (at the other team's doggie when it licked my face), I whined (when I wasn't allowed to swing the metal bat around), I cheered (when daddy made it on base), I yelled (when I wasn't allowed to take the field with the rest of the team), and I even cried (when I saw some swings nearby that I wasn't allowed to go on because it was the middle of the game). I guess it was fun, I just hope this doesn't become a regular thing. It's exhausting being a spectator (that means a watcher).

So much fun in the park with Julia.
We are ladies who love to swing.
The Galfunts came to visit today, but no boys
allowed in this photo.

Chicken draw

I had my first chicken fight tonight. It was me and daddy versus Maya and Eric. I didn't realize you are supposed to attack the other person sitting on the shoulders. I just kept clawing at daddy. I think it was a draw (that means no one won) because daddy kept screaming, "Ouch, you're drawing blood."

Just a bunch of us chickens having fun.
I'm so high, hehehe!

Pats party

We went to a Pats party tonight and rooted go Pats go! It really worked!! The Pats scored so many times that people stopped paying much attention to the game. I got to eat a bunch of chips and had fun running away from some doggies that kept coming near me. For the record, I love doggies from a distance, but up close they are a little scary. I tried to grab a beer, but mommy caught me and made me put it down. Maybe next time.

Have you seen mommy? She is missing the game.

All stretched and ready to run. Bring on the marathon.

Wait! A marathon is how long?!

Divot day

I went to my first polo match today. The horses were fun to watch and I even got to stomp divots with mommy and daddy at halftime. I'm glad it has been a little too cool out to go to the pool because I tried my bathing suit on in the house and it was a little snug. I'd be pretty self conscious out in public. I may need to cut back on my bottles. Instead of going swimming we went bowling. Daddy kept joking he could roll me down the lane, but no one, including me, thought it was funny. (Sorry daddy.) We leave Florida tomorrow and I'm sad. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

My tankini and me never made it to the pool.
Stomping divots at the polo club.
Daddy, will you get me this golf cart
when I'm old enough to drive?

Vacation overload

I've been so busy on vacation that I forget what day it is. I didn't realize I missed selfie Sunday until this afternoon! I got to meet my Nana Susie for the first time on Saturday. She wears all this fun jewelry that I loved playing with. She also has this funny laugh that makes me smile. And she didn't mind when I spit up on her. :)

In the past few days I've played shuffleboard, watched Poppy and mommy and daddy play Pickleball (it's like mini tennis for old people who can't run) and then real tennis. Me and Nana Shelly are great cheerleaders. Daddy and me also went dancing in the town square.  And we got to ride around in more golf carts. I can't wait to retire. The people in The Villages have a great life!

Shuffleboard cheering squad.
Can you believe people still
called me a boy in this pink skirt and hat.
Nana Suzie and me hanging out.
With so many activities, I sure do get tired here.

Blocker

I love hitting things out of people's hands. Drinks are my favorite. I've made a little game of it with mommy. She'll be holding me in one hand and she'll try to drink something with her other hand and I try to hit it away. Sometimes I manage to make whatever is in the cup spill. It's so funny when that happens. He he. But that mommy, she is getting smart. She started holding my hands down now when she drinks. Daddy says with my blocking skills I'm going to be a great volleyball player. I'm not sure what that is but if I get to keep hitting things out of the way it sounds fun to me.

Pumping iron

When I was in mommy’s tummy we used to work out together all the time. We did boot camp, cycling, a duathlon (run-bike-run) and lots of walking. The day before I was born, we even did the four-mile walk home from mommy’s office. Sadly, mommy is still too sore to work out with me, so I’m looking for a temporary workout buddy. Any takers? I'm a rock star when it comes to burpees!

Baseball loyalties

What does it mean if my Red Sox socks keep coming off? Is my inner Yankee fan trying to break out? Just saying...
