Back packing

Finally, I have my own backpack to store all my important things, like my Abby, Ernie and Count dolls and sunglasses and my phone. I'm so independent (that means I don't need any help). Yup, I'm an independent lady. I just need to adjust these straps and I'm all set.

Follow me this way home.
Hey squirrel, want to get in my bag?

The chain gang returns

We finally got to go outside today. I was so excited to be back on the chain gang that I couldn't stop saying and waving "hi" to everything we passed. I said "hi hi hi" to people, to cars, to trees, to steps, to buildings, and even just to the air. It was contagious (that means it caught on and spread). All my friends started doing it too. The people we passed sure thought it was funny to hear so many little voices saying "hi."

The chain gang

Today was the first day all week it didn't snow or rain, so we finally got to go outside. We couldn't play in the park because all the slides and stuff were dirty. I didn't care. I was just so excited to be part of the chain gang. In the baby room when we went out we were all strapped into these carts. In the toddler room we all walk ourselves holding on to a rope. Don't worry, they strap our hands on to the rope so we can't run away. I learned you have to be careful to not walk too fast and bump into the person in front of you or go too slow and be bumped. I was bump free until I saw a dog and got so excited that I froze in place and started making ooh sounds like a monkey. I nearly caused a three-toddler pileup on Harvard Ave.

Waiting for wings up

We're at the airport waiting to go visit Nana and Poppy. There is so much room here. I've been walking up and down, up and down, up and down the aisle. So fun! All the people waiting keep giggling at me, which makes me giggle right back.

No more *

Today it clicked. I figured out the walking thing. Instead of falling on my butt after three steps, I can get up to 12 in a row. It won't be long before I'm ready to run. One of my favorite new things to do is walk around the kitchen opening up cabinets. I really like the cabinet with the trash can. It reminders me of my toy holder since its filled with all different fun looking things. Too bad they always smell bad and I'm always being told to get out of there. I also think it is so funny to pull the drawers open and then stand underneath them and I love looking at my reflection in the dishwasher.

Trick trifecta

I've got a couple new tricks. I've been practicing my walking and have figured out how to string three steps together without holding on to anyone or anything. After three steps I usually get pretty excited, bounce and wiggle my butt and end up falling down. It's only a matter of time before I control my excitement and have complete independence. My other new trick is to wave and say "hi-eee." It seems to make others smile. When I'm inspired, I'll even blow kisses - the trick trifecta.

I have another tooth coming in and it hurts.
It's been making me sad this week.

Look who's walking*

Check out my new trick! I've been thinking about walking and decided to just do it today. I did so many laps around the room that by the time mommy took a video I was pretty tired. Will you fly up and go shoe shopping with me now, Nana?

Selfie Sunday 39

I'm finally starting to like swim class. Today I giggled, I dunked, I glided, I kicked my feet. It was great! Too bad there is only one class left.

Guess what? I figured out how to take a few steps when holding on to Yellow Magic. He moves a lot, which is different from the other things I hold on to when I take steps. I fell once, but I'm OK.

I have a hat like mommy.

Daddy wears hats too.
It's a Hutter thing.
