Trouble again

I got in trouble at school today. We were getting ready for story time and I told my class to, "sit down and shut the f@ck up." My teacher said I can't say that...I just want to be like them.

Lexi need that

My new favorite thing to do is look in the toy catalog and say "Lexi need that. Mommy, Lexi need that!" Mommy keeps telling me, it's Lexi wants that, not needs that. But, I really do NEED it--especially that Scooby-Doo doggie. Do you think if I say it enough that she will get it for me? That seems to work when I ask for my paci and she doesn't want to give it to me.

Translation please

Pizza is becoming one of my favorite foods. I like pizza so much that I've been practicing my Italian accent. I ask for ahh paci and ahh pasta and ahh pizza. Sometimes I talk to my toys in Italian too. I say, "Ahh monkey, sleepy? Ahh Oscar, hungry? Ahh monster, scary?" They never seem to respond. I guess they don't speak Italian.

The chain gang returns

We finally got to go outside today. I was so excited to be back on the chain gang that I couldn't stop saying and waving "hi" to everything we passed. I said "hi hi hi" to people, to cars, to trees, to steps, to buildings, and even just to the air. It was contagious (that means it caught on and spread). All my friends started doing it too. The people we passed sure thought it was funny to hear so many little voices saying "hi."

Bilingual? Si!

My Spanish vocabulary (that means words I know) is growing. At day care today we drew pictures of fish in agua (it means water). I giggle every time I say agua. It sounds so silly. Agua, agua, agua. Hehehe.

Incommunicado

I've been talking a lot more lately and really trying to have conversations with people, but when I do, they don't seem to make any sense. I'll say "why don't you come over here and play with my cars," and mommy says back, "Lexi, are you ready for a bath?" Um, no, mommy, I want to play with my cars. Or at school I'll say to my teachers, "I want to go downstairs," and they sing back some song that has nothing to do with going downstairs. It's so frustrating. People do understand a few things I say, like "up" and "more" and "hi" so I don't get why they don't understand everything I say. It makes me so sad that I throw myself on the ground and kick my arms and legs a lot.

Why don't you understand what I'm saying?

Gossip, who me?

All the teachers at day care call me the little gossip. I admit I do love to chit chat. It’s not that I talk badly about anyone. I just like to make sure everyone knows what’s going on. Maybe if I could crawl or walk I’d chatter less, but what’s a little lady to do when she is stuck sitting on her butt all day? So I just take everything in and listen to what everyone says and then when friends come over to play with me I share what I know. Sometimes I have so much to say that I feel like I’m going to explode if I don’t just get the chatter out. Occasionally if no one is around, I have conversations with myself in the mirror. But shhh, don’t tell anyone that. It’s a little embarrassing.
