Cutting back

Mommy says I need to cut back on screen time (that means I can’t blog as often). I know it is sad, but no matter how much I love blogging, I love Curious George and Elmo more. I promise I'll still share my adventures, it just won't be as often.

Marketing master

There was a woman touring the day care center today. My teacher Annie was telling her about all the great things we do. I figured I could help with the pitch (that's business talk for trying to sell something). Whenever Annie was in the room with the woman I was super smiley. When Annie went in a different area I would yell until she came back in. Then I would smile and giggle a whole lot. We did this a bunch of times and the woman seemed to think it was adorable. Me and Annie sure have our marketing routine down. Now I just need to negotiate my cut for the new business we bring in and then toy store here I come!

Who has tips on negotiating commissions?

Day care here I come

Starting Monday, I’ll be going to this place called day care when mommy goes back to work. I’m going to meet new friends and play with new toys. Plus, Annie, who babysat for me once, and who I really like, will be there. It sounds like a lot of fun to me. But, I’m a little confused. Whenever mommy tells me about it she sounds really excited at first but then ends up crying. I make all these cute faces to make her feel better, but that seems to make her cry more. Don’t be sad mommy. I met your friends at work and they seem nice. They even got me this great onesie.

Thank you mommy's NICHQ work friends
for this great top!

Working girl

Mommy took me into the city today. Well, not “the city.” Everyone knows “the city” is Manhattan. We were in downtown Boston. I got to see where mommy works and meet all her NICHQ work buddies. Everyone was soooo excited to meet me. I was practically swarmed the minute I arrived.

I was really excited to meet everyone too, but it was so warm in the office that I kept dozing off. Mommy’s boss, Jonathan, was “disappointed” (that’s a direct quote – I heard him say it) that I wasn’t up and he couldn’t play with me. He kept trying to tickle me awake and poke at me, which wasn’t very nice. I’m sure he wouldn’t like being proded here and there if he was sleeping. Erin was much nicer. She let me sleep while she held me, but she did make fun of my ears. She called them pointy and Vulcan like. If I wasn’t sleeping, I would have protested.

After hanging in the office, we went for lunch with Elissa to a favorite lunch spot. The sandwiches are longer than me! Then we ran a few quick errands and headed home on the train. I can understand why mommy hates the train. It took 73 minutes to get home. That’s double as long as it should take. The voice on the train kept saying something about traffic up ahead and signal problems. I didn’t really mind, I slept during the ride. I think I’m even sleep typing right now. Somebody better warn mommy and daddy that since I slept so much today I’m going to be up all night! … Maybe I’ll call Jonathan to come play with me then. J

I wonder if mommy ever sleeps at her desk?
Resting in mommy's chair.

Me and mommy's boss, Jonathan.

Sorry, you'll have to leave a voicemail. I'm busy right now.
That's a big sandwich!

Still sleeping back at home. Being cute sure is tiring.
Fake out - even after yawning, I went back to sleep.
