Fishy Halloween

I had the best time trick-or-treating with Bonnie and David. I was good and only took one piece of candy at each house, but David kept taking two or three! We were so cute, no one seemed to mind. I kept looking for lollipops and managed to collect four. They were delicious! Oh, and I loved my new fishy costume.

My fish face.
What? Fishes don't use pacis?

A fish and a dog walking down the street.

Our first stop.

Hurry up, fishy. We got candy to get.

Halloween take 2

Since I didn't like the octopus costume, mommy dressed me as a boxer for a Halloween party today. I was the 2015 World Champion Whiner. (Mommy thinks she is so funny.) I liked this costume a little better, but those gloves sure are heavy and the belt was bulky. Once I took those off, people didn't know what I was anymore and I just looked silly. We might have to try something else for real Halloween.

My right hook is killer.
You want a piece of this?

Edaville adventure

I'm super tired, so this one is going to be quick. We went to Edaville USA today. It's where Thomas the Train and his friends live. We went for a long ride on a choo choo. Then we went on a lot of other rides. I got to drive a helicopter and put out a fire like a fireman. (I didn't really like that one). My favorite was going on the spinning boat with daddy. We went three times!!! The one bad thing about the day was when mommy made me wear my octopus costume. I cried and she took it off...and you know what, I still got candy trick-or-treating!

Daddy and me on the choo choo train.
I don't want to wear this!

Cookie!

Remember the old days when I used to let mommy dress me up for holidays? This is the closest I've let her get in a while.

Heel time

I don't know why big ladies complain about high heels. This little lady has no problem walking in them.

Dirty valentine

Theo didn't end up being my valentine, David did. You remember David, we went to the ice skating show together. Well, he came over today and we had a very romantic date. We had heart shaped cookies, cheered our cups together and even dirty danced a little bit. Don't tell Daddy, but I started shaking my butt (mommy called it twirking) and David came right up close behind me to dance. It was steamy! Good thing mommy didn't get any videos or pictures, then David would be in trouble with Daddy for sure.

Sorry, I eat the candy that was on it.
I made you this card.

Falling latkes

Tonight was the first night of Hanukkah. It started out with a bang, literally me falling down some stairs and banging my head. Luckily, it was only a few until I reached the landing, not the really long stretch of stairs to the first floor. That's the last time I try to go down some stairs by myself. Not because it hurt so much to fall, but it was super painful hearing mommy tell me over and over I need to be a better listener when she tells me not to do something. Other than that, the first night of Hanukkah was super fun. We lit candles, danced to Hanukkah songs and opened presents. I got some puzzles, a toy car and a blanket. Oh, and I got this awesome fuzzy monster bowling set from Nana and Poppy. I'll admit I actually opened it over the weekend because I found where mommy was hiding it. It looked so fun and I was right! Even with all my presents, my favorite thing tonight wasn't for me. It was the Muppets figurines daddy got. He let me look, not play with them. He's a bad sharer. Now I know where I get that from.

I got Hanukkah balls yes I do,
I got Hanukkah balls how about you? He he he!

Still not a latka fan, but the floor liked them.

Turkey day 2

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm most thankful that I think mommy is going to stop dressing me up for holidays after this morning's "epic fail" photo shoot. I'm also thankful  for my family and friends and of course all my blog fans! :)

I told you I wasn't doing anymore photos and I was serious!

Family selfie!

Halloween hoot

Halloween was awesome. First it started with a party at school. Once we all dressed up in our costumes--I was an owl--we had a little dance party to get warmed up. (Check out the video below.) My friend Vera was a peacock and Adi was a tiger. I kept swiping at their headpieces, which they didn't seem to like very much. Then we went over to the park and Wayne the music man came with his guitar and we danced and sang some more.

Next we met up with our friends the Ingermans and went trick or treating in their neighborhood. It was amazing. You just ring the doorbell, walk up to the person holding a candy bowl, smile at the person and take a piece of candy. So simple. I got it down by the third house. Sometimes I even grabbed two or three pieces of candy and other times I didn't grab any. Instead I put my hand in the candy bowl and just moved it around. No one seemed to mind as long as you smile.

Then today we had some friends over for a Halloween party. Mommy and daddy made all this spooky food, like mummy hotdogs, ghost bananas, vampire teeth, cheese spiders, human cheese fingers, vegetables shaped into a big pumpkin and we even had a pumpkin puking guacomole. (He he he.) That was my favorite. Halloween is the funiest holiday!

Monster-ific day

How come I'm just finding out about Halloween?! All you do is dress up in a costume and people give you candy. How cool is that? I don't even care that mommy and daddy take all the candy, it's just fun going up to people and getting to pick something out of their candy bowls. Being a walker rules!! Today I dressed up as a furry monster. Everyone kept calling me adorable and giggling at me. I can't lie, I love all the attention. On the real Halloween on Friday I'm going to be an owl. I've been practicing saying whoo..whoo.

Am I scary? I'm trying to
be scary.

Got my treats and on to
the next place.
This is the best holiday ever!

Shofar search party

I slept through the shofar playing at temple today. I can't believe I missed it. Poppy has his own shofar so we were going to play it at home. But, we looked in a lot of drawers and cabinets and even the attic and looked and looked and looked and couldn't find the shofar anywhere. I wonder where that shofar is hiding? The searching sure made me hungry.

Elvis spotting

I got a lot of compliments on my new (to me) jacket today. All the teachers were calling me miss fancy pants and giggling at me. Daddy said I looked like a baby Elvis. I don't know about that, but I played along and told him, thank you, thank you very much. (He he he)

Labor lady

I plan to be a working woman one day. That’s why I’m excited to learn about Labor Day. It’s a holiday celebrating the American worker. I couldn’t believe it though when I learned that girls earn 77 cents for every dollar a boy makes. I don’t like to get political on this blog, but that’s ridiculous! I’ve decided to protest. Who wants to join me?

I demand to be paid for this photo shoot.

Join the cute workers revolt.

Holla for challah!

Mommy and me went to a challah party today. We listened to a story about how to make challah, danced (a.k.a. bopped on my butt) to songs and then watched as the leader mixed the batter. Then we got to braid and decorate our challah. I dropped some of our dough on the floor so our challah is a little small, but I still decorated the rest with cinnamon and chocolate chips. We haven't baked it yet, so I don't know how it tastes, but I think it is going to be really, really yummy. The best part. I got to dress up like a chef!

Who is ready to bake?
Let's roll some challah!

American party animal

Today is a special day. It's the day we celebrate American independence (that means freedom). I learned that Americans usually do that by getting together with friends and family and having barbecues, drinking lots of bottles, although contents may vary, and watching fireworks. I can't wait to see what we do. No surprise, mommy dressed me up for the holiday. She said I'm supposed to look like Uncle Sam. I Googled him and I don't think I look anything like him. I do love my headband hair!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Inspector Lexi

Since it was raining out today, mommy dressed me in a new kind of coat called a trench coat. Mommy said I looked like Inspector Gadget. She explained he was a cartoon that she watched as a kid. Then all morning she sang this silly song where she kept calling me Inspector Lexi and told me to "go Lexi go." It kept making me chuckle. Later I did some Googling of Inspector Gadget and found his theme song that mommy was trying to sing. Silly mommy.

Puzzling Passover

I learned about a new holiday yesterday called Passover. There is a long story behind it that I don’t fully remember. From what I saw at our house, Passover involves reading from these small books, drinking lots of wine, singing songs and eating A LOT! Then for some reason, you repeat it again the next night. Maybe there is going to be a third night tomorrow. Or even a fourth night. Who knows? One other thing I’m confused about are these things called plagues. What are they and why does mommy keep trying to dress me up like one? And why is everyone talking about four questions when I only have these three? This holiday sure is complicated.

Wine and plagues. What could be better?
Hail is my favorite plague. Wait. What's hail again?
I thought food goes on the
sedar plate, not me.
Is there something on my head?
I definitely feel something.
I don't want these crackers,
I want my wine back!
Happy Passover everyone!

Purim selfie

Happy Purim! I learned that Purim is like a Jewish Halloween. (Although, I do wonder if mommy made this holiday up just to have a reason to dress me silly.) I'm not sure why, but I'm dressed like a strawberry. I blame my friend Yael and her mommy Jamie since they gave us the costume.
