Chomping and crawling

Mommy has been sick so she hasn't been able to help me post. Now that she is a little better I have so much to share! My two top teeth have come in. Now I got me four chompers. They aren't fully down, but they are out. It makes it so much easier to chew stuff, real food like chicken and pasta. You can see the teeth sometimes when I smile, but they are elusive (that means difficult to catch) so I have no photo proof yet. It's so hard to see them because I'm constantly on the move. I finally figured out how to crawl. Mommy and daddy may never catch me for a photo ever again. Sitting still is for babies!

My favorite things to crawl toward are shoes and cell phones. Sometimes crawling around makes me so tired that I just pass out where ever I am, like standing up in my jump-a-roo. Pretty funny, huh.

I'm one tired turtle, as mommy likes to say.

Freedom awaits

I'm really close to crawling. Really close. I've figured out how to get from sitting on my butt to my hands and knees and then how to move my hands forward, I just haven't figured out how to then move my legs. I can kind of crawl backwards a little, but I just find that frustrating. I've also been working on pulling myself up on things. I can kind of do it in my crib and the table in our living room. My friends that can walk say once I figure out how to pull up that walking is next and then I'll experience a freedom I never felt before. That sounds awesome! I can't wait!

Don't let the smile fool you. I'm plotting
how I'm going to pull my way to freedom.
Foiled! Mommy made me fall, right when
I was bout to scale the crib walls.

Stuck like a slug

I keep seeing all the other kids in day care crawling around all the time and I’m jealous. While it’s nice being carried from place to place, it looks so cool to be able to go wherever I want, whenever I want. These past few days I’ve been trying to figure out the crawling thing. So far, it hasn’t worked out so well. Sometimes I’ll be propped up on my arms ready to try but just forget and start eating my hands. Other times, I kick my feet and move my arms a ton but I don’t seem to get anywhere other than stuck on my stomach. What am I doing wrong?

I can't seem to figure out how to crawl,
but I got the being cute thing down.
