Sunday shopper

I love shopping. I don't care what we're shopping for, it's just fun pulling the cart.

I cleaned up aisle three.

Super shopper

We do a lot of shopping over the weekends. We always go to a supermarket and sometimes to a few stores. Today I got to go to a pet store. I saw dogs and fish and mice and hamsters. The mice were my favorite. Mommy said they were white, but I called them green. Everything is green. My favorite thing we shopped for today were sneakers for daddy. Not only did I help pick them out, I tried them on. Daddy has really big feet! He he he.

Get these daddy. They look super cute on me.
I don't like these.
They make me sneeze.

Holiday wish list

Hanukkah is coming up and I know what I want. I want a dog and two brothers. My friend Vera has a brother, and Leah has a brother, so I want two brothers. I told Mommy and she laughed at me. I'm not being silly mommy. I'm serious. You should go shopping. A dog and two brothers. Now go!

But I NEED a dog!

Need my paci

We were shopping today and mommy left my paci in the car. I was tired and cranky and really needed my paci. I yelled so much in the shopping cart, that mommy took me down so I could walk. At first, I stayed quiet. Then, when mommy and daddy were busy picking out curtains, I walked back to the car to get my paci. I almost made it, but I couldn't get the store's front door to open. Plus the check-out person saw me and found mommy. Even though I didn't make it to the car myself, at least it made mommy go out and get my paci for me. Mission accomplished (that means good job).

Don't leave my paci in the car again.
You've been warned.

Selfie Sunday 96

A little shopping, and a clean up on aisle 4, this Sunday.

What do you mean you are out of monkeys?

Parental shopaholics

Mommy and daddy are shopaholics. Not only did they schlep me shopping most of the day on Black Friday, but we went AGAIN today. Maybe I wouldn't mind as much if they got something, anything for me. Instead, it was shoes and coats and jeans and tops all for them. I got nothing! I repeat, nothing. Here's hoping I make out better on Cyber Monday.

Stop the shopping insanity.
I'm tired and want to go home.
All I wanted to do today was relax
like I got to do on turkey day.

Sunday funday

Today was awesome! We went to Lauren's 7th birthday party, I got my face painted, then we went pumpkin picking, and then shopping at my favorite store on Long Island. What more could a little lady ask for?

Which one should I pick?
All of these look like pretty pumpkins.
Cousins!
Check out my butterflies.
Family photo at Lauren's party. Looking good!

Slumber party

Tonight I'm having my first girl slumber party with my cousins Mya and Lauren. I can't wait. We started the day by going shoe shopping. I got TWO new pairs of sneakers (thanks Nana!). My foot grew 1.5 sizes in two months. That must be a record! I wonder what will happen tonight at the slumber party. I hope I get to play a lot of games and then cuddle to bed with someone, but I don't want anyone putting my hand in warm water when I'm sleeping so I pee in my sleep. Mommy told me this can sometimes happen at sleepovers. Oh wait, I already do pee in my sleep. He he he. Never mind. Bring on the games.

Market maneuvering

Guess what I got to do. Go ahead guess. You'll never guess it. I got to ride in a shopping cart ... in the big kid part! It was AWESOME! I loved looking around and seeing everything and everybody. I even got to help hold some groceries. It was only scary on the turns because mommy is a fast driver and I would slip to the side a little, but it was still super fun. I hope we get to do this every week!

Attention Wegman's shoppers, cuteness in aisle 3.

Shopping suckers

I figured out a foolproof way to get any clothes I want even when mommy doesn't want to buy it. See my new purple jacket? Mommy wasn't going to get it because the sleeves are really long, but I really liked it. So much so that I spit up on it in front of the sales lady. And guess what, turns out we HAD to buy it. He he he.

Who can resist this face? Who I ask you?

Florida bound

We’re headed to Florida on Thursday. I’m so excited to get out of this cold weather and down to the sunshine state. Plus I get to see Nana and Poppy and Papa and Carol and meet my grandmother Susan. When they talk to me over the phone they always say they want to eat me up, but I don’t want to get eaten. I hope they control themselves. To prepare for the trip, I got a bunch of new shorts and shirts today. Shorts are like pants, but shorter. I guess that is how they got their name. I think, however, I’m going to need to get my own sunglasses. Mommy’s are just too big for me.

Can I get my own pair, please?!
Seriously. These are way too big!

Shake your booty

I got a few requests to see my dance moves, so here you go. In fairness, I was a little tired when we shot this video. Mommy and daddy dragged me around to a ton of stores all day again. We were in the car, out of the car. In the car, out of the car. It was exhausting! We also strolled around the mall for a bit. Have you ever noticed how almost every store has its own unique smell? A lot of them are overpowering (that means really strong). I nearly passed out between the combination of Lush and Abercrombie. Those stores make my poopy diapers smell good!

Vision division

Help! Whenever I’m wearing my hat in my car seat and I turn my head, my hat follows. I end up not being able to see out of one eye. I’ve tried turning my head the opposite way to get the hat to move back, but that never seems to work. What should I do?

This is me turning my head, hat following.
Here is the result - pirate Lexi.

Shpatziring

On Long Island this week, mommy, Nana and me spend most of our days shpatziring. That’s Yiddish for wasting time. You can be shopping, taking a stroll, driving around town – it’s all shpatziring. We mostly go to stores, buy things and then go to other stores and return things. Sometimes we go back to the same store the next day and return what we got the day before. It seems kind of silly to me. On one of our many coffee breaks at DD (both mommy and Nana are addicts) we came across a tie dye donut that matched my outfit. It was so funny we had to get one. Only on Long Island!

And guess what. We finally remembered to get some batteries for my mobile. Look who's super happy now.

Ohhhh...it moves and plays music.

Hats off

You might have gathered by now that I like hats. I really like hats. They keep my head nice and warm, so what’s not to like? It runs in the family, because mommy and daddy wear baseball hats all the time. I should get a photo of the three of us in hats so you can see what I mean. I’ve amassed (mommy told me this means collected) quite the assortment of hats in the last few weeks. Some fit great, others, well, I need to grow into them, but I love them all. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of me crying in hats. That’s just because mommy insisted on posing me in a bunch of different ones when I was just waking up. Not cool mommy.

Me and my hat collection. This doesn't include my ones for dress up.

I have a lot of great hats that friends have made for me. (I'm still waiting for my blanket, Nana!)

This hat makes my cheeks look extra chubby! My leopard patterned hat is more slimming.

This is my lady on the town hat. Very chic.

Until I grow into this one, I look like I'm wearing a Russian trooper hat.

Sometimes, simple and understated is best.

I got a car!

We had quite the long weekend. It started on Friday when mommy’s college buddy, Matt, came to meet me. He came all the way from a place called Texas. He told me it was pretty far away. We spent the day together strolling, eating and napping. He is pretty cool.

Saturday I spent the WHOLE day with mommy, daddy, grandpa Bob and Carol car shopping. I was on my best behavior because I really wanted mommy and daddy to buy me a new car. Guess what? It worked!! Daddy is picking up my new car on Tuesday. Although it isn’t the smurf blue color that I and mommy wanted, I’ll still take it. I can’t drive it yet, but that is OK. It’s only a matter of time.

I think I figured out the trick to getting what I want. I just have to be extra good all day. I’ll have to try this theory out on some other things besides a car. Actually, now that I think about it, crying works to get me what I want too, but that is so tiring.

Since we were so busy, I didn’t have time to take many new photos. Below is one of me being a “good girly” with my hands placed neatly in my lap. Who can say no to this face?

Oui, Oui

All gussied up in my beret and clothes with Paris scenes on it, mommy and Nana dragged me around to a bunch of stores today. It was exhausting! By the time I got home, I needed to unwind. When dressed like a Parisian, unwind like a Parisian.
(Mommy - next time get me a baguette and some French macaroons. They are my favorite.)
