I'm back!

It’s been way too long since I posted. I kept asking Mommy to help and she would say in a couple days. A couple days is a long time. It’s been over two months! I’ve been really busy. I went to temple and learned the new year song. Mommy and me still sing it. Mommy says it's stuck in her head. I keep looking for it but don’t see it. Nana went home to Florida. I miss her a lot. Sometimes I go and play in her room. Oh, I turned three! All my friends came over and we went on the Tumblebus and had bagels and cookie cake. I got lots of presents. My favorites are my clubhouse and my light-up seal pillow. I sleep with it every night. I was Marshall for Halloween. I got a lot of candy but Daddy took it away. Sethy keeps getting bigger. I really like holding him and helping with his “buttons” and getting him his paci. He goes to the same school I go to, but I’m now in Preschool 2 and he is in the baby room. I don’t get to see him, but I like to wave when I pass his room. Sometimes I get in trouble at school for not listening. They make me sit by myself for a time out. I don’t like that. I’ve gotten good at zippering my own coat. Mommy says my fingers are silly because they like to stick together and not go into each spot of my gloves. Silly fingers! It snowed for the first time today so I needed them!

Another visit to the dentist. This one
had a TV on the ceiling.
We visited Lauren for her birthday.
We have the same birthday month.

Cupcakes at school for my birthday.
Having a bagel at my birthday party.

M&Ms are my favorite candy.
Welcome to my clubhouse. Come inside,
oh come inside.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
I'm thankful for my family.
Me and Sethy. I'm a big sister. He is little.

Nana has moved in!

Poppi went home to Florida, but Nana stayed-Yay! I love going into Nana's room in the morning. She also picks me up from school. Nana is my best buddy. I love you Nana!

Funny Nana

Nana's been working on my spelling with me. I used to spell my name: L-E-7-1-4-X, but now I spell it L-E-X-I. I miss the numbers a little bit, but I love hearing Nana say, "Hey- give me five," every time I spell it L-E-X-I. Nana is so funny.

They came!

Nana and Poppy finally made it! I was so surprised to wake up and see them here that it took me a few seconds to realized it was really them. Then, I couldn't stop smiling... or talking all day! We had the best day. We went to the book store where I got a little green monkey I call monkey. We went to the indoor playground and I also helped Poppy with his big puzzle. We were so busy we forgot to take any photos. Nana promised me a special present if I have no accidents and pee and poop in the potty so I've been extra good. I wonder what I'll get.

Special delivery

I keep telling mommy that I want to go in Nana and Poppi's car, but mommy tells me they live far away. I decided to mail myself there. I should be there in two to four days. See you soon!

I better pack snacks.

Farm day with Nana

Nana took me on a farm adventure today. We picked apples and fed animals and picked out a pumpkin. I even got to sit on a pig. (OK, it wasn't a real pig. The real one smells yucky.) All of it was great, but the best part was riding the choo-choo train with Nana. We rode and rode and rode. We got off and then back on and rode and rode and rode again. It was much better than the choo-choo train that I sometimes take with mommy. I got my own seat, didn't need a pass and it was on time. Maybe mommy should take this one to work instead.

I think this one looks good.
Stop! Vegans only please.

All aboard the Lexi express.
I could ride this train all day.

No zoo for you

Can you believe mommy and daddy went to the zoo without me? The zoo!! I know, I'm astonished (that means surprised) too. I did get to spend the whole day with Nana and Poppy, which was so much fun. It was non-stop. We moved furniture, played with bubbles, watched Elmo, went for a walk and I even got to try and hide some of poppy's puzzle pieces. He he he. (He didn't think it was so funny). Even though I wasn't at the zoo, I did spend a lot of the day looking for a cat. Nana kept saying, "come here pussy cat." I looked and looked and looked and found no cat. I hope Nana finds it.

To grandma's house we go

Weeee! We went on a plane today. That would have been exciting enough, it is Passover and all, but guess who met us when we landed. Go ahead, guess? NANA AND POPPY!!

Nana, can we go on the spinny bag thing?

Falling latkes

Tonight was the first night of Hanukkah. It started out with a bang, literally me falling down some stairs and banging my head. Luckily, it was only a few until I reached the landing, not the really long stretch of stairs to the first floor. That's the last time I try to go down some stairs by myself. Not because it hurt so much to fall, but it was super painful hearing mommy tell me over and over I need to be a better listener when she tells me not to do something. Other than that, the first night of Hanukkah was super fun. We lit candles, danced to Hanukkah songs and opened presents. I got some puzzles, a toy car and a blanket. Oh, and I got this awesome fuzzy monster bowling set from Nana and Poppy. I'll admit I actually opened it over the weekend because I found where mommy was hiding it. It looked so fun and I was right! Even with all my presents, my favorite thing tonight wasn't for me. It was the Muppets figurines daddy got. He let me look, not play with them. He's a bad sharer. Now I know where I get that from.

I got Hanukkah balls yes I do,
I got Hanukkah balls how about you? He he he!

Still not a latka fan, but the floor liked them.

Jew food rocks

Oh my goodness! I love Jewish food. I had my first matzo ball last night. It was light, fluffy and delicious!! I was mmmmmm-ing the whole time I eat it. I also had this noodle kugel thing that had raisins and cinnamon. Nana is the best cook ever! We had all this special food because it is Rosh Hashanah. It's the Jewish New Year. On this holiday you go to temple and sing and Poppy tells me they play these special horns called shofars. I can't wait to hear it.

Poppy will you teach me how to
play the shofar?

Giddy girl

I'm so excited! I get to see Nana, Poppy, aunt Heidi, uncle Justin and cousins Mya and Lauren tomorrow. I'm going to give everyone such big hugs and wet kisses. Watch out, you've been warned! I'll likely also pull on Mya's hair, yank Poppy's glasses, and spit up on someone at some point. It's going to be a great weekend!

I'm just giggling like crazy with excitement.

Got my wings

I went on my first airplane ride today. I think it was fun, but I don't remember much since I slept most of the time. The flight attendant gave me some wings, which was really cool. Then at the airport we got to go on this thing called a tram. It was kind of like the subway back home, but cleaner and not as crowded.  Nana and Poppy were so excited to see me. I got the biggest hugs! I wonder what we're going to do all week.

I'm a Delta girl. Does this chair recline?
We made it to Florida!
Why is the tram so empty?

Shpatziring

On Long Island this week, mommy, Nana and me spend most of our days shpatziring. That’s Yiddish for wasting time. You can be shopping, taking a stroll, driving around town – it’s all shpatziring. We mostly go to stores, buy things and then go to other stores and return things. Sometimes we go back to the same store the next day and return what we got the day before. It seems kind of silly to me. On one of our many coffee breaks at DD (both mommy and Nana are addicts) we came across a tie dye donut that matched my outfit. It was so funny we had to get one. Only on Long Island!

And guess what. We finally remembered to get some batteries for my mobile. Look who's super happy now.

Ohhhh...it moves and plays music.

A bunch of firsts

I’ve had a jam packed two days of firsts. I took my first car ride to Long Island, celebrated my first Thanksgiving, experienced my first grease fire (Aunt Heidi and Uncle Justin kept the tradition of keeping Thanksgiving exciting), lit my first Hanukkah menorah, got to meet my first cousins for the first time, had my first sleepover at Nana and Poppy’s, and got my first doll and first teddy bear. Whew!

I’ve learned that Hanukkah is another holiday like Halloween and Thanksgiving. Holidays usually mean mommy dresses me up in a funny outfit. I wonder why she hasn’t tried that yet? I hear the holiday lasts eight nights so I’m sure it is coming.

These are my cousins Mya and Lauren.
When will I have hair like them?
Mya's smiling because I just pooped on her.

Why do they photograph me near knives?
I was in a milk comma and missed tonight's candle lighting.

Aunt Heidi and Uncle Justin's house after the grease fire. Ha! Just Kidding!

Check out my crib

Mommy was telling me about this show called MTV Cribs, where celebrities give tours of their homes. The weird thing is, although it is called Cribs, none of celebrities actually have cribs. Since I do, I figured I’d give you a tour of my “crib.” When I first moved in, my room was a white canvas, because mommy and daddy didn’t know if I was going to be a boy or a girl. It’s taken me a few weeks to get it decorated, but I’m almost there.

Here is where I sleep. Pretty posh! It turns out it isn’t safe to keep bumpers in a crib. I don’t remember if it was mommy or Nana who had the brilliant idea to turn my crib bumper into an “L” for Lexi and hang it on the wall. Either way, I love it! They are so smart.

Here is where I keep all my clothes and where I get changed. We still have to paint the drawer knobs. I’m thinking a magenta or purple. Or, maybe pink to match the Pink Panther prints. What do you think?

Here are some of my stuffed animal friends. There is Socktopus (get it, because he is an octopus wearing socks), Sully, Maggie the monkey, Gerry and giraffe and Mortimer the moose to name a few. Sometimes I talk with them when I can’t sleep at night.

Here is the chair where I like to rock out and relax. That box on the floor is where mommy has been putting the clothes that I have gotten too big to wear. It's not classy, but it works for now. It also doubles as a book shelf. I’ve been looking everywhere to find a bookshelf but still haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for, so the search continues.

That's my "crib."

Oui, Oui

All gussied up in my beret and clothes with Paris scenes on it, mommy and Nana dragged me around to a bunch of stores today. It was exhausting! By the time I got home, I needed to unwind. When dressed like a Parisian, unwind like a Parisian.
(Mommy - next time get me a baguette and some French macaroons. They are my favorite.)

Nana visits

Nana came up from New York to play with me for a few days. She is quite persistent. She keeps putting me in this rocker chair and telling me I’m going to like it. I cry and cry, but every few hours, she keeps putting me back in there. Of course, she was right. I do like the chair, I just had to get used to it. Thanks Nana!

Daddy has been sick this past week so I haven’t gotten to snuggle with him. Luckily, he is feeling better and was able to hold me today. To show him how much I missed him, when we went to change my poopy diaper, midway through the change I pooped again, and as he was done cleaning me up a second time, I pooped a third time. He got grossed out and mommy had to finish. She couldn’t stop laughing. Maybe I’ll do that again next time daddy changes me.

I also figured out how to hold a bottle on my own. I’m so smart! J
