Incommunicado

I've been talking a lot more lately and really trying to have conversations with people, but when I do, they don't seem to make any sense. I'll say "why don't you come over here and play with my cars," and mommy says back, "Lexi, are you ready for a bath?" Um, no, mommy, I want to play with my cars. Or at school I'll say to my teachers, "I want to go downstairs," and they sing back some song that has nothing to do with going downstairs. It's so frustrating. People do understand a few things I say, like "up" and "more" and "hi" so I don't get why they don't understand everything I say. It makes me so sad that I throw myself on the ground and kick my arms and legs a lot.

Why don't you understand what I'm saying?

Flying sidewalk

I fell today and scraped up my face. One minute I was running and the next I was lying face down on the sidewalk. Now, a few hours later, I'm OK. I just hope we can put off my passport photo shoot until I heal.

This is my better side, now.
How long until my scraped nose heals?

Mr. Sandman cometh

I've been having some trouble sleeping lately. Sometimes it's just trouble falling asleep and other times it is trouble staying asleep. Sometimes I have these bad dreams that I kinda wake up from. Mommy tells me she finds me standing up in my crib crying while I'm sleeping. It's kind of weird because I never remember them. All I know is when I don't sleep mommy and daddy get pretty grumpy. Daddy starts using all these words that mommy says not to use so I don't hear them. (I do hear them though. He really likes one that starts with "sh.") I need one of those magical butterflies I see on TV that helps people sleep. Does anybody have one I can borrow?

For some reason, I now
hold my head when I sleep.

Ice adventure

My Hanukkah gift today was going to see Disney on Ice. At first I was a little scared and didn't want to let go of mommy at all. I had no idea where we were and people in costumes were moving so quickly all around us. After a little bit, I got into it. It helped having my buddy David there with me. We held hands and he shared his popcorn with me. My favorite parts of the show were when this girl danced with all her fishy friends and when a horsey and piggy came out with a bunch of other really, really big toys. It was also really fun when David and I ran around the stadium screaming and laughing when the show was over. :)

Where did all the skaters
go? Is the show over?
So mesmerized I didn't know
 my photo was being taken.
Disney on Ice crew. Always a fun
time with David and Bonnie.

Present ADD

I haven't written in days because all I can do is play with all my new toys. I just run back and forth between all of them all night long. There's this cool racetrack that these cars go down and around. There's an Elmo doll that talks to me. There's a bunch of puzzles with pieces I love tossing all over the place. There's this big doll who's a little scary but I let her sit at my table with me anyway. There's bowling pins and even a cell phone! There's just so many new things I don't know what to play with first, so I just run around playing with everything. By the time I'm done you can't see the rug anymore it is so covered in toys. Oh and I also have these cars that have little people in them and they make noise. It's all just so fun. Hanukkah is the best...and it's not over yet.

Falling latkes

Tonight was the first night of Hanukkah. It started out with a bang, literally me falling down some stairs and banging my head. Luckily, it was only a few until I reached the landing, not the really long stretch of stairs to the first floor. That's the last time I try to go down some stairs by myself. Not because it hurt so much to fall, but it was super painful hearing mommy tell me over and over I need to be a better listener when she tells me not to do something. Other than that, the first night of Hanukkah was super fun. We lit candles, danced to Hanukkah songs and opened presents. I got some puzzles, a toy car and a blanket. Oh, and I got this awesome fuzzy monster bowling set from Nana and Poppy. I'll admit I actually opened it over the weekend because I found where mommy was hiding it. It looked so fun and I was right! Even with all my presents, my favorite thing tonight wasn't for me. It was the Muppets figurines daddy got. He let me look, not play with them. He's a bad sharer. Now I know where I get that from.

I got Hanukkah balls yes I do,
I got Hanukkah balls how about you? He he he!

Still not a latka fan, but the floor liked them.

Selfie Sunday 57

Don't tell mommy I stole her phone and took some funny photos. She also doesn't know I know how to turn the knob on the gumball machine and get the gumballs out. He he he.

Check out my silly comb over.
Roar, I'm Lexi the lion!!!
