On the road again

We're going on a trip today back to New Jersey (remember, that state next to New York). One of my cousins is having a Bar Mitzvah. Daddy tells me that is "when a boy becomes a man." I'm not sure what that means, but I'm excited for the music and dancing. I got a great new dress I can't wait to wear and SHOESmy first pair of shoes.

I'm all packed and ready to go.

What’s on the bus?

My latest fascination is with the Wheels on the Bus song. It’s so catchy. At school we sing about the wheels and the wipers and the driver. At home, mommy likes to make stuff up. Tonight on the bus there were book bags that went “flop flop flop,” bugs that went “buzz, buzz, buzz” and other kids that went “Lexi sit with me, Lexi sit with me, Lexi sit with me.” Mommy’s singing is pretty horrible. She seems to make up lots of words to all different songs all the time. (Or at least that is what daddy tells me). But, I don’t want mommy to feel bad so I just smile and giggle when she sings to me. I wonder what will be on the bus tomorrow?

Getting cut off

Mommy and me were strolling down Newbury Street today after having brunch with some friends and I nearly got knocked over. This man stumbled into the stroller and still kept trying to keep moving and almost took me down. It was a little scary. Mommy said it was because the man had drunk too much. Good thing mommy and daddy cut me off after five bottles a day!

Piano promotion

I’m so good at playing the piano in my crib that I got upgraded. I now have this bouncy toy and when I kick my feet on the piano keys it plays all different types of music and lights up. There are also keys I can play with my hands. It’s so much fun. Whenever I’m in it and I can’t stop smiling.

Lady Lincoln

Today is another holiday, President’s Day. It’s a day when we celebrate former US presidents. Mommy dressed me up as President Lincoln. What do you think? Did I pull it off? The beard was pretty itchy. Mommy said it was very fitting because I was almost named Lincoln. When mommy and daddy were deciding what to name me, their top choices were Lexi, Lincoln or Lexington. Whew…good thing I got Lexi!

He-he. I have a beard like daddy.
What's a chin curtain?

Snowy Selfie Sunday

I got to play in the snow today. Well, I don’t know if it qualifies as playing. I couldn’t really move my arms or legs in my snowsuit. It was still fun!

I want to eat the snow. It looks yummy.
I can't move my arms or legs, but I am warm!
