Inspector Lexi

Since it was raining out today, mommy dressed me in a new kind of coat called a trench coat. Mommy said I looked like Inspector Gadget. She explained he was a cartoon that she watched as a kid. Then all morning she sang this silly song where she kept calling me Inspector Lexi and told me to "go Lexi go." It kept making me chuckle. Later I did some Googling of Inspector Gadget and found his theme song that mommy was trying to sing. Silly mommy.

Don't eat the grass

Yesterday we went on something called a “sensory nature walk” at day care. It’s weird that they call it a walk when we don’t walk, we just sit in the grass. I’ve never sat in grass before so I wasn’t sure what to do. Do you just play with it like a toy, or do you try to eat it (kind of like my toys too)? When I tried to eat a piece of grass I quickly learned you don’t do that. Grass is just for playing. Either way, it was just fun being outside.

Lonely lady

I've been feeling lonely lately. The feeling comes on whenever I look up from playing with my toys and find nobody is in the room with me. At first I get a little startled. Then I get a little sad and start to cry. Within seconds mommy or daddy will come back in the room, say hello and then I'm all happy again. It's quite the emotional roller coaster! I know they aren't far away, and I'm totally fine, but I like having an audience.

I love playing on mommy and daddy's bed.

Selfie Sunday 25

I've been sitting in a lot of high chairs lately. Here is one of me at the mall today. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Boys, boys, boys

Remember my first date with Hudson? Well, I saw him today for the first time in four months. I was a little nervous to meet up because I've put on some weight. Turns out so did he, so that was a relief. We had a good time. At one point Hudson ran his hand over my cheek and it gave me the chills, but I kept it together. We actually met up at our friend Nathan's house. Nathan and me ended up spending a lot of time together because Hudson kept crawling away. I think he was trying to impress me, but all it did was let me get to know Nathan better. Later in the day, when we were at the park, I decided to go on the swings with Nathan instead of Hudson. I think I'm crushing on Nathan.

Hudson and me hanging out.
Nathan is a certified hunk, even his shirt says so.

Weighing in

I had my six-month check up today. I'm now 20 pounds 2 ounces and 28 inches long. That puts me in the 95th percentile for weight and 98th percentile for length. I forget how big they said my head was, but that's in the 90th percentile too. I guess I do have a big noggin, that's what daddy likes to call my head. I got some more shots too, but they were no big deal. I'm a pro when it comes to shots now.

Marketing master

There was a woman touring the day care center today. My teacher Annie was telling her about all the great things we do. I figured I could help with the pitch (that's business talk for trying to sell something). Whenever Annie was in the room with the woman I was super smiley. When Annie went in a different area I would yell until she came back in. Then I would smile and giggle a whole lot. We did this a bunch of times and the woman seemed to think it was adorable. Me and Annie sure have our marketing routine down. Now I just need to negotiate my cut for the new business we bring in and then toy store here I come!

Who has tips on negotiating commissions?
