Quick question

Can I bring my hands to day care? I hope so. I sure love eating them. Yum, yum, yum, yum.

Tastes like chicken.
The left one tastes better.

Day care here I come

Starting Monday, I’ll be going to this place called day care when mommy goes back to work. I’m going to meet new friends and play with new toys. Plus, Annie, who babysat for me once, and who I really like, will be there. It sounds like a lot of fun to me. But, I’m a little confused. Whenever mommy tells me about it she sounds really excited at first but then ends up crying. I make all these cute faces to make her feel better, but that seems to make her cry more. Don’t be sad mommy. I met your friends at work and they seem nice. They even got me this great onesie.

Thank you mommy's NICHQ work friends
for this great top!

Snow bummed

Mommy and me had big plans today. I was going to become famous. We were supposed to go to a modeling agency for a casting call. I’ve been looking forward to it all week. Last night we worked on my expressions. I’ve got happy, sad, mad, playful, bashful and inquisitive down cold. But, a big snow storm has us stuck inside today. What a bummer.

Welcome 2014!

Happy New Year! I’m so excited for my first New Year’s Eve. First we’re going out to dinner with our friends the Gaffins. Then, we may watch the ball drop in Times Square on TV, or maybe we’ll go to the top of our hill and I’ll see my first fireworks. There will be hats – I love hats – and streamers and lots of kissing. It all sounds so exciting.

I was told that you are supposed to make these things called resolutions for the new year. They are things you want to do. I’ve been thinking pretty hard about mine. Here is what I came up with so far.  1. Learn how to walk   2. Learn how to talk   3. Grow hair   4. Make more friends   5. Learn how to change my own diapers – (Well, this is daddy’s one for me) J
What are your resolutions?

What, you want me to smile?
Ok. Here's my smile.

A member of the tribe

I became an official member of the tribe yesterday when I received my Hebrew name – Mira Bracha. I’m named after mommy’s grandfather Martin and daddy’s grandfather Morris and grandmother Betty. I’m so lucky that so many friends and family came for the simcha (that’s Jewish for celebration). Thanks everyone! I don’t have too many photos to share because mommy and daddy were so busy talking to people they didn’t take many photos. I hope people who took photos share them with us!

During the ceremony, I was wrapped in mommy and
daddy's wedding chuppah.
Here is one of the centerpieces with favors for all the guests.
Here is one of the favors that mommy made. Yummy!
Family portrait at the end of the celebration. I was exhausted!
Here's the certificate to prove I'm part of the tribe.
My dress even looked pretty coming off.
I look like a little lion. Roar!
