White stuff, bubble and a bug

Did anyone else see the white stuff falling from the sky today? At first I thought I was maybe dreaming. I knew I was in my stroller, so that felt real, but I was surrounded by this big plastic bubble thing that made everything a little blurry. It would look like the white stuff was going to fall on me, but then it would hit the plastic thing and not get me. Each time I would think, whew! – I dodged another one. As if that wasn’t scary enough, today I had a gigantic bug land on my head. I only noticed when I caught a glimpse of my reflection in a storefront window. It looked like I had two faces!! It was so traumatic I closed my eyes and wished it away. Next thing I remember I was back at home and there was no bubble and no more bug. Maybe it was all a dream?

Proof of the bubble and the bug. It wasn't a dream!

Back in Boston, but shrinking

I had such a good time in New York spending time with mommy’s family and meeting soooo many new friends. The week and a half flew by! I was really sad to go and actually almost didn’t make it home. Mommy and daddy had so much stuff (OK, it was mostly mine – plus daddy’s three pairs of shoes for two days) that it couldn’t all fit in the car and they had to leave some things behind. Luckily, I made the cut. J

Grandpa Bob came to New York too for a party for my great aunt and uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary. I got to go into the city again and meet some more of my cousins on daddy’s side of the family. They are so sweet. They shared some of their toys with me and pretty soon I’ll be big enough to play with them. I can’t wait until cousin Warren sends me the photos he took of us.

One weird thing, everything at home seems smaller. I no longer need to have my butt propped up in my lounging chair, I fit without it. My arms also now hit the sides of my bassinet. It’s weird how the furniture shrunk when I was gone.

Grandpa Bob and me had a contest who could sleep
longer on the car ride home. I think it was a tie.

Selfie Sunday 4

If I claimed this as a selfie I’d be lying. My cousin Cori took it.

Shpatziring

On Long Island this week, mommy, Nana and me spend most of our days shpatziring. That’s Yiddish for wasting time. You can be shopping, taking a stroll, driving around town – it’s all shpatziring. We mostly go to stores, buy things and then go to other stores and return things. Sometimes we go back to the same store the next day and return what we got the day before. It seems kind of silly to me. On one of our many coffee breaks at DD (both mommy and Nana are addicts) we came across a tie dye donut that matched my outfit. It was so funny we had to get one. Only on Long Island!

And guess what. We finally remembered to get some batteries for my mobile. Look who's super happy now.

Ohhhh...it moves and plays music.

What I ponder

I often ponder some interesting topics on my changing table

Why do giraffes have black tongues?
Look. Mine is pink. Guess I'm not a giraffe.

Present overload

Look at all these presents. Can you even find me in the picture?

No, they aren’t all for me. We had our Roth family Hanukkah party the other night. All us kids get presents from everyone and all the adults have a Secret Hanukkah Harry gift exchange. (I’m still not sure what this is. They explained it to me but I keep getting confused about who Harry is.) One of my favorite gifts is my mobile. I finally have something to look at when I’m chillaxing in my crib. Nana keeps saying we need to get batteries for it so I can see it move. I guess batteries are hard to find because she has been saying that for three days now. Oh, well, maybe next year I’ll get batteries for Hanukkah.

I'm a bag lady ... with pearls!

Having some fun with Hanukkah decorations.

I'm getting woozy from all the spinning.

Should I be worried about the flames on my chest?
