Butt buster

These exercise videos mommy has me doing are tough. Today we did a butt and core buster. Do I even have a core? I'm much more of a yoga person. Either way there is nothing like a good band stretch after working out. Oh, and goldfish too. They are the best post-workout snack.

You want me to put my foot where?

First cone

Did you know ice cream can come in this thing called a cone? How come I'm just learning about this?! This is way more important than the alphabet or what sound a cat makes. I should have learned this on day one in school. Wait until I tell everyone on Monday.

With a cone, you need to be extra careful to not drop it. I held it really tight as I walked down the street telling everyone I had ice cream. It made people smile at me. It was hard to lick while walking. When I decided to get in my stroller, I got so nervous I was going to drop the cone that I happily handed it over to mommy while I climbed into my seat. I didn't want to take it back until I was fully strapped in and had my two hands ready. Best ice cream experience ever!

Happy little cone licker.
My ice cream is stuck at the bottom.

Cool kid club

It's official. I'm a cool kid. I got my first birthday party invitation from a friend at school. It's a mermaid party at her house. I don't know what a mermaid is but I hear my friend has a pool and we're going to go swimming and there will be cake. Those are two of my favorite things. Count me in.

Cool kids sit on the back of the seesaw.

Tennis (watching) prodigy

Did you know daddy is a tennis star? I got to watch him play in a tournament (that means a big game with lots of smaller games within it) this weekend. I always love to cheer, especially for daddy, but I kept getting shh-ed. I guess you aren't supposed to cheer while the ball goes back and forth, only when it is on the ground. Mommy let me try her tennis racket and gave me a ball to play with too. I kept trying to have the ball go off the racket, but it didn't work. That's OK. Eating the ball was just as fun.

This tastes....fuzzy.
Concentrating on the game.

Unpacker on aisle 1

I love to help unpack groceries. I dive right in and pass items up to daddy who puts them in the refrigerator. Mommy likes to count, so we go one yogurt, two yogurts, three yogurts, all the way up to 12. We buy a lot of yogurt! I can even pull the big milk out of the bag. I get so proud of myself when I'm done that I hop back and forth from one foot to the other and say yay!

Who eats all this yogurt? There's so many!

Cousin Party

This weekend we went to New Jersey. I got to see 14 cousins and Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Stanley. I went swimming, played with bubbles, went up and down and up and down and up and down the stairs so many times! Staying at Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Stanley's house is fun. They have so many things to touch. But, they also have a lot of rules about things not to touch--like chess pieces and small figurines and boomerangs. And there are rules about not eating dessert until after dinner. We have that rule at home too, but sometimes I give mommy or daddy an extra hug or kiss and the rule goes away. (Maybe it only works at home.) It probably didn't help that I kept calling Aunt Eleanor Nanny when I asked for a cookie. She corrected me every time and eventually I figured out how to say Aunt El. But that still didn't get me the cookie...not until dessert time.

I'm a messy cookie eater.

Happy America

We celebrated America's birthday today by going to my first amusement park. I liked the rides that went round and round, but not the one that went up and down. Oh, and I really didn't like having to wait in the rides for them to start. I didn't mind waiting in line to get on, but once I get on a ride, I want it to start right away. It always seems to take soooo long for everyone to get on and get buckled in. I get bored waiting and then just want to get up and leave. We stayed at the park long enough for me to see my first fireworks. They are these really big bursts of light. They are very pretty, but also very LOUD, and I don't like loud noises.

First ride!

Whoa! Fireworks!!
I don't want to wait, let's go.

Cookie!

Remember the old days when I used to let mommy dress me up for holidays? This is the closest I've let her get in a while.
