RIP Mr. Fishy

Mr. Fishy died. When I went to say hello he was just floating in his bowl. I tapped and tapped and he wouldn't swim. He looked so sad. Now I'm sad. Bye-bye Mr. Fishy.

Meet Mr. Fishy

I got my first pet! It's a fish named Mr. Fishy. He swims around in this little bowl. I like trying to pet him, but mommy says I can't do that. I also can't take him out of the water or try to eat him. He's a "look at" pet. I heard daddy say he isn't real (that he runs on batteries), but he is very real to me. It is weird though that I tried a few times to feed Mr. Fishy some of my food and he never wants any. I guess he has a tiny, tiny belly.

Looking at Mr. Fishy, petting him and then trying to eat him. He tasted wet.

Got ID?

After our hot date on V-day, I saw David again today at his second birthday party. He let me play with his Yo Gabba Gabba toys, which I'm told is HUGE! He doesn't let anyone just play with them. :)  I really liked petting David's cat and dog. I only got licked once and I didn't even mind. There were a lot of people at the party so I helped out by being the bouncer. It was tough work! Some of the adults kept hopping over the gate instead of going through the door. Don't worry, I yelled at them so they wouldn't do it again.

No one gets in without ID.
We're full. Try back later.

Teacher's pet

I've been helping out a lot at day care lately. I help feed my classmates food on spoons, sometimes when I visit the infant room and hear a baby crying, I help put a pacifier in the baby's mouth and pat the baby. Other times when things look too orderly, I help the teachers make it messy again. Then it always looks much better. Maybe I'll be a teacher one day.

Wet and windy

We got more snow today. By my guess, the snow piles are at least three Lexi's high. That's really, really high! After I put on pants and a shirt, then snow pants and a sweatshirt, a jacket, hat, mittens and boots, I could barely move, but was dressed warm enough to go out to play. It was so windy that the snow kept flying into my face making my cheeks really, really red and cold. I couldn't wait to get back inside. Mommy and daddy had different plans. They put me on a sled and dragged me around town for a little bit. It was kind of fun, I guess. It would have been a lot more fun if the snow wasn't blowing in my face.

Dirty valentine

Theo didn't end up being my valentine, David did. You remember David, we went to the ice skating show together. Well, he came over today and we had a very romantic date. We had heart shaped cookies, cheered our cups together and even dirty danced a little bit. Don't tell Daddy, but I started shaking my butt (mommy called it twirking) and David came right up close behind me to dance. It was steamy! Good thing mommy didn't get any videos or pictures, then David would be in trouble with Daddy for sure.

Sorry, I eat the candy that was on it.
I made you this card.

Finding love day

I've been trying to decide who I'm going to ask to be my valentine. To be honest, I'm not that impressed with the two boys in my class. I do have my eye on this older boy Theo. He's actually the brother of my friend Leah. I'm slowly learning Theo and me have a lot in common. We both like to climb. I overheard his mommy telling my mommy that Theo climbed on top of the roof of their SUV. That's so cool! We also have the same taste in nap mats. He has the exact same robot one as me! I'm not sure if he notices me, especially because he is in the downstairs day care room. Would it be weird for me to ask Leah to mention me to Theo?

It's MINE!

Day care was closed again today because of all the snow. That's fine with me. I like hanging at home and watching soooo much TV. Curious George is my favorite. He's always getting into trouble and is really funny. Sesame Street is good too. I get so excited when I see Elmo I start screaming, bouncing up and down and pointing at the TV. The "Word on the Street" on the show today was choreographer (that means someone who designs dances), but my favorite word of the day is mine. Actually, I don't like to say it, I like to scream it - MINE, MINE, MINE! I'll point at anything and say MINE! I think it is funny. Mommy not so much.

Being silly with headbands.

Brush monster

Remember that place I was telling you about near day care that has the fishies, well, it is a dentist office and I had my first appointment today. Everyone was really friendly until they wanted to get into my mouth. I put up my best fight against the dentist lady who kept trying to brush my teeth. She even tried to paint this stuff on it that tasted funny. And can you believe this, mommy tried to help her while daddy took pictures!! I'll remember this next time you, mommy and daddy, are screaming for help. We'll see how much you like it when I help your attacker and take photos. The only good thing about the visit was playing with the spinning chair with the other kids in the waiting room.

Go ahead and try, you're not getting in here.

Whose side are you on, mommy?

Leader of the band

In addition to playing the piano, I've gotten really good at the tambourine. I'm thinking I should maybe start a band, or go out on my own like Wayne the Music Man. I would need a catchy name. Hmmm. What could it be? Perhaps, Lexi Lou and the Who. What do you think? I also need to work on how to end my songs. Mommy told me hitting someone on the head with a tambourine is inappropriate (that means bad). Geesh. You're killing my artistic creativity, mommy!

Hungry Eskimo

It snowed and snowed and snowed today. It was nonstop from the minute I woke up to when I went to bed. Call me silly, but it looked a lot like bits of flying cheese. When I finally got to go outside and play, I tried to eat it and discovered it was definitely not cheese. It actually had no taste at all, just cold. It was much more fun to try to walk up and down the snow covered steps. I only fell on my butt twice!

It's cold out here. I need some gloves.
I know there is a step here somewhere.
