Slutty cute

Mommy keeps calling me slutty. Apparently, it's not OK to go around giving open mouth kisses to everyone. And it's also not OK to stick your tongue out while kissing. How was I supposed to know?

Selfie Sunday 46

Cruising in my car seat in Florida. Happy Sunday.

A selfie with no hands. That's talent.

License sicense

One thing that I love about Florida are the golf carts. They are so fun to drive. I now know what people mean when they talk about the feeling of a breeze running through their hair. Also, now that I'm taller it is so much easier to steer. Of course the practicing back home helped.

Dunkins or bust. Who needs a coffee?
I practiced my driving before our trip.

Shofar search party

I slept through the shofar playing at temple today. I can't believe I missed it. Poppy has his own shofar so we were going to play it at home. But, we looked in a lot of drawers and cabinets and even the attic and looked and looked and looked and couldn't find the shofar anywhere. I wonder where that shofar is hiding? The searching sure made me hungry.

Jew food rocks

Oh my goodness! I love Jewish food. I had my first matzo ball last night. It was light, fluffy and delicious!! I was mmmmmm-ing the whole time I eat it. I also had this noodle kugel thing that had raisins and cinnamon. Nana is the best cook ever! We had all this special food because it is Rosh Hashanah. It's the Jewish New Year. On this holiday you go to temple and sing and Poppy tells me they play these special horns called shofars. I can't wait to hear it.

Poppy will you teach me how to
play the shofar?

Sad droid daddy

I broke daddy's phone today. I'm not exactly sure how I did it. One minute I was playing with it and the next there was a big crack across the whole screen. I was really scared daddy was going to be so mad at me. When he went to take a look at his phone I put on a really big smile and all night I've been giving him lots of kisses so he wouldn't be too mad at me. So far it seems to be working. Phew!

I'm sorry I broke your phone daddy.
How can you stay mad at this face?

Waiting for wings up

We're at the airport waiting to go visit Nana and Poppy. There is so much room here. I've been walking up and down, up and down, up and down the aisle. So fun! All the people waiting keep giggling at me, which makes me giggle right back.

11 down, 1 to go

Can you believe my first birthday is exactly a month away?! All my other friends at daycare are already one so they told me what to expect—parties, presents and cake. I've never had cake before. I hear it is delicious, even better than rice and beans! And parties, who doesn't love a party?! I wonder what type of presents I'll get. Maybe I'll get lots of new plastic containers. I love playing with plastic containers. First I take them out of the kitchen cabinet, then I put them back in, then I take them out again, and put them back in. It's so fun. I'm bouncing on my butt just thinking about it.

Feet first

I scared the poop out of mommy and daddy today. (He he he -- I just learned this phrase.) I woke up pretty early and didn't want to stay in my crib. After I whinned enough, Mommy let me come into the big bed that she and daddy sleep in. At one point I woke up and realized I was alone in the bed. I wondered where mommy and daddy went. Instead of just crying, which usually makes them show up, I decided to climb over this mountain of pillows that I think was supposed to stop me and make my way off the really high bed and crawl to find everyone. Mommy and daddy were so shocked that I was able to get off the bed without hurting myself. Usually I like to try to head dive off the bed because I know they will catch me. When I was alone, somehow I  remembered, feet first!

Bringing Lexi back

It's been a rough couple of days. I must have a new tooth coming in or something, but my mouth keeps hurting, I can't sleep, and I get really sad whenever mommy leaves a room, even for just a minute. I hate being so whiny. I haven't even wanted to blog lately or take photos, which isn't like me. I can't wait until I feel back to my old self.

We had another apple picking adventure on Saturday,
this time with mommy and my besties!
Even though I was a little grumpy, I held it together for at
least one photo...even if Charlie and Molly weren't looking.

Elvis spotting

I got a lot of compliments on my new (to me) jacket today. All the teachers were calling me miss fancy pants and giggling at me. Daddy said I looked like a baby Elvis. I don't know about that, but I played along and told him, thank you, thank you very much. (He he he)

No more *

Today it clicked. I figured out the walking thing. Instead of falling on my butt after three steps, I can get up to 12 in a row. It won't be long before I'm ready to run. One of my favorite new things to do is walk around the kitchen opening up cabinets. I really like the cabinet with the trash can. It reminders me of my toy holder since its filled with all different fun looking things. Too bad they always smell bad and I'm always being told to get out of there. I also think it is so funny to pull the drawers open and then stand underneath them and I love looking at my reflection in the dishwasher.

Buy Mortimer, buy

I like to keep up on the stock market by tearing through Barron's every Saturday. It really does comes in handy. We went out for lunch with mommy's friends Rosemary and Jim yesterday and they asked me what I think is going to happen to the stock market on Monday. Since I did my reading, I was able to say "hi." You heard it here. Better get investing.

Daddy, I took your newspaper again.

Trick trifecta

I've got a couple new tricks. I've been practicing my walking and have figured out how to string three steps together without holding on to anyone or anything. After three steps I usually get pretty excited, bounce and wiggle my butt and end up falling down. It's only a matter of time before I control my excitement and have complete independence. My other new trick is to wave and say "hi-eee." It seems to make others smile. When I'm inspired, I'll even blow kisses - the trick trifecta.

I have another tooth coming in and it hurts.
It's been making me sad this week.

Apples anyone?

I went on my first apple picking adventure today. It was so much fun. I got to stand on a ladder and help pick apples off a tree. At first, I tried just swiping and swinging at the apples and the tree leaves. That didn't make them fall down. Mommy taught me you have to turn the apples upside down and twist. I couldn't figure out how to do it on my own, so I pointed to the ones I wanted and then mommy grabbed them. We picked a gigantic bag of apples. I guarded them all in my new wheels, a red wagon I call Ruby. It's decked out. It has a canopy, six cup holders, seat belts and even a second seat for a friend. (I'm saving that seat for you Molly in two weeks.) It sure made getting around the apple orchard a breeze...at least for me. :)

One for me, two for me.
What do you mean all these aren't for me?

Labor lady

I plan to be a working woman one day. That’s why I’m excited to learn about Labor Day. It’s a holiday celebrating the American worker. I couldn’t believe it though when I learned that girls earn 77 cents for every dollar a boy makes. I don’t like to get political on this blog, but that’s ridiculous! I’ve decided to protest. Who wants to join me?

I demand to be paid for this photo shoot.

Join the cute workers revolt.
