First fine dining

For almost six months, I've been watching everyone eat all types of food while I just sat back and had my bottles. Today, I got my first taste of real food. It was something called sweet potatoes. They smelt good and tasted OK. I wasn't quite sure what to do with the food in my mouth so I just moved it around with my tongue and then a bunch spilled out of my mouth. Mommy and daddy kept saying I should swallow the food. I'll have to Google what that means tomorrow.

I have no idea what's going on, but I'll smile for the picture.
What is this weird stuff? I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Back to Boston and boys

Well, we made it home from vacation. Mommy and daddy keep talking about being back to the grind on Monday. I don't know what that is and they sure don't seem excited about it. Me, I'm looking forward to getting back to day care. I hope none of the other girls stole my boyfriend Jack while I was gone. Every morning when I get dropped off, Jack crawls up to me to say hello. He is so dreamy! Jack is a little older and he's super strong. He is able to pull himself up all by himself. While I can't do that yet, I plan to impress him with my flexibility. I figured out how to practically make myself into a pretzel this week. I don't think any of the other girls can do that! And, I can now sit up all by myself.

Hey Jack, check out this flexibility.
Look who can sit up all by themself!

Divot day

I went to my first polo match today. The horses were fun to watch and I even got to stomp divots with mommy and daddy at halftime. I'm glad it has been a little too cool out to go to the pool because I tried my bathing suit on in the house and it was a little snug. I'd be pretty self conscious out in public. I may need to cut back on my bottles. Instead of going swimming we went bowling. Daddy kept joking he could roll me down the lane, but no one, including me, thought it was funny. (Sorry daddy.) We leave Florida tomorrow and I'm sad. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

My tankini and me never made it to the pool.
Stomping divots at the polo club.
Daddy, will you get me this golf cart
when I'm old enough to drive?

Vacation overload

I've been so busy on vacation that I forget what day it is. I didn't realize I missed selfie Sunday until this afternoon! I got to meet my Nana Susie for the first time on Saturday. She wears all this fun jewelry that I loved playing with. She also has this funny laugh that makes me smile. And she didn't mind when I spit up on her. :)

In the past few days I've played shuffleboard, watched Poppy and mommy and daddy play Pickleball (it's like mini tennis for old people who can't run) and then real tennis. Me and Nana Shelly are great cheerleaders. Daddy and me also went dancing in the town square.  And we got to ride around in more golf carts. I can't wait to retire. The people in The Villages have a great life!

Shuffleboard cheering squad.
Can you believe people still
called me a boy in this pink skirt and hat.
Nana Suzie and me hanging out.
With so many activities, I sure do get tired here.

Schvitzing

It is HOT in Florida. Nana keeps saying I'm schvitzing. I'm not sure what that means, but it sure is weird going out with no socks or jacket, although I still have my signature pink hat. We went for a lot of rides today in these little cars called golf carts. I even got to drive for a little bit. I hope we get one of these at home. I love sitting up front with the adults instead of being in the back in a regular car.

Got my wings

I went on my first airplane ride today. I think it was fun, but I don't remember much since I slept most of the time. The flight attendant gave me some wings, which was really cool. Then at the airport we got to go on this thing called a tram. It was kind of like the subway back home, but cleaner and not as crowded.  Nana and Poppy were so excited to see me. I got the biggest hugs! I wonder what we're going to do all week.

I'm a Delta girl. Does this chair recline?
We made it to Florida!
Why is the tram so empty?

Leaping leprechauns

Don’t pretend like you didn’t know this would happen. Are you green with envy?

Purim selfie

Happy Purim! I learned that Purim is like a Jewish Halloween. (Although, I do wonder if mommy made this holiday up just to have a reason to dress me silly.) I'm not sure why, but I'm dressed like a strawberry. I blame my friend Yael and her mommy Jamie since they gave us the costume.

Florida bound

We’re headed to Florida on Thursday. I’m so excited to get out of this cold weather and down to the sunshine state. Plus I get to see Nana and Poppy and Papa and Carol and meet my grandmother Susan. When they talk to me over the phone they always say they want to eat me up, but I don’t want to get eaten. I hope they control themselves. To prepare for the trip, I got a bunch of new shorts and shirts today. Shorts are like pants, but shorter. I guess that is how they got their name. I think, however, I’m going to need to get my own sunglasses. Mommy’s are just too big for me.

Can I get my own pair, please?!
Seriously. These are way too big!

Bare bottom

I've figured out how to kick my feet up, catch them and start sucking on my toes. It's one of my new favorite things to do. Who knew toes taste so good? They taste just like my red chicken doll I love to chew on. Good news—my diaper rash has gotten so much better. I think it is because I've gotten to go bare bottom for a few hours last night to give my cheeks some air. It's such a freeing and funny feeling. This is a big weekend for holidays. It’s Purim and St. Patrick’s Day. I wonder what silly outfit mommy is going to dress me in this time. Hmmm…

Just relaxing bare bottom.

Poopy times

It's been a rough couple of days. I keep pooping all the time and I developed a rash on my butt. Daddy says it is as red as a baboon's butt. (A baboon is a kind of ugly monkey.) All I know is it hurts so much. I can't wait until it goes away. :(

Selfie Sunday 17

I'm showing some skin today.
I've never worn a short sleeve shirt out before.

Poker face

Last night I got to hang out with friends Mary and Victor. They are so much fun. Victor kept trying to get me to smile with funny faces and sounds, but I kept my poker face on ... even after he put a silly Mardi Gras hat on my head!

This hat is ridiculous!

Blocker

I love hitting things out of people's hands. Drinks are my favorite. I've made a little game of it with mommy. She'll be holding me in one hand and she'll try to drink something with her other hand and I try to hit it away. Sometimes I manage to make whatever is in the cup spill. It's so funny when that happens. He he. But that mommy, she is getting smart. She started holding my hands down now when she drinks. Daddy says with my blocking skills I'm going to be a great volleyball player. I'm not sure what that is but if I get to keep hitting things out of the way it sounds fun to me.

Head heavy

Take a look at these pictures. My head looks HUGE! Could you imagine if these got out on the internet? I’d be so embarrassed! Someone needs to give mommy and daddy lessons about how to take good photos.

Bar Mitzvah bonanza

I survived my first Bar Mitzvah and it was a blast. Cousin Michael led the whole temple service, which was very impressive. I only had to leave the synagogue once … after I threw up on mommy’s dress. (Sorry mommy.) Then we went to the party. There was a man called a DJ that played all types of fun songs. I danced and danced and danced until my shoes fell off—literally! Then I took photos in the photo booth and got to shake a maraca. I also got to play with all my other cousins that were there. Cousins Sydney and Max were especially fun. I loved holding onto their fingers. More photos to come soon, but here’s a quick one of my party dress.

Who is ready for a Bar Mitzvah? Me!

Dining Jersey style

Last night we met cousins Meredith, Dave and Parker for dinner at this deli where the food was bigger than me! Check out the cakes below. They even had a pickle bar. Only in New Jersey.

Don't cousins Meredith and Dave
look great with a girl!
Why doesn't Parker want to take a
photo with me? Is it because I drool a lot?
My cousin Meredith is so funny!
Those are some big cakes!
